Jan Daum met us initially as we were looking at a historic home and we sure hit the realtor jackpot meeting her! She has been so knowledgeable and endlessly supportive through buying our first home 6 years ago as well as a second property more recently. Her responsiveness is unmatched both in and beyond the home buying process. She has made herself available for home tours and builds relationships with her clients - in both of our buys, we have felt like we are working with a dear friend rather than a real estate agent.
Tyson was great! He's been so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process, especially since it's my first time buying a home. He was very quick to respond and easily worked around our schedules to see different houses! Whenever we had questions for potential houses he always followed up and found the information out for us! We moved from Minnesota and Jean helped us find our lease home. She did FaceTime tours with us and video tours of the houses we were interested in. She was in constant communication with us even when there wasn’t an update. Finally, she negotiated favorable terms for us and got a reduction in rent for a longer lease time. She will be the one we choose when we buy our home in the next year.
I can promise you, Jean is the Realtor you want representing you. You will be amazed at how great she is! She is amazing at communicating which is something the majority of Realtors struggle with. It is a night and day difference with Jean. We sent her an inquiry through her website and had a response 5 minutes later-- at 8 pm at night!
On top of it all Jean is super cool and fun to talk to! She isn't from Austin, so she's worked extra hard to educate herself on the Austin area market. She KNOWS her stuff. Plus I love supporting women business owners so that was an extra bonus in working with Jean!

JEAN HOLM! Just got my first house in Texas. We moved here from Oceanside CA (San Diego) and were searching online for an Austin realtor. The universe somehow connected me to Jean. We lucked out! I have never met a more professional, thoughtful, funny, and hardworking person in my life. I’m not exaggerating. I wasn’t sure what to expect in a realtor but I generally have very high expectations when it comes to any service, being that I have worked in the service industry for years. Jean went above and beyond and super exceeded all of my expectations. She advocated for me and my husband every step of the way. Buying a new house shouldn't be that hard and Molly Parks was definitely on our side when we purchased our home December 2019. Molly was our advocate from the beginning until closing. she was personable, quick to respond when we had mountains of questions, eased our minds throughout the process and most of all, she gave us our FIRST housewarming gift. After renting in Austin since 2012, Corrine Elgin turned me into an Austin homeowner! This wasn't easy, as I picked the most challenging period in recent history to be a homebuyer. Also given the parameters that I didn't want to move to the outskirts of town to be far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Corrine spent many hours each day gathering houses to consider, creating a list to visit, and driving me to probably close to 30 houses over roughly a month. We made offers on five houses that I recall, as Corrine guided me through that challenging process. And while I was approaching the point of giving up, Corrine refused to do the same -- so thankful, as it resulted in the offer on the 5th house being accepted! Every step of the way she made me feel confident enough to keep battling and it paid off. I couldn't have done it without her.

Ruth was great, and if I had to go through this again, I'd want her, who knows the ropes, to take care of buying and selling. For selling, it was stressful, especially at a time when the Pandemic level was quite high. We got
through it, though. For buying, since it was new construction, we would keep in touch off and on during the whole
build process. There was a hiccup at the end as the builder wanted to adjust the purchase agreement, but we managed to come through. She listened to me vent out in frustration, but it worked out in the end. I would definitely recommend her if friends are looking to move or buy.
As much as I would like to express what Ruth has been to us through this process, honestly, it will be an injustice. But know this, there is no way anyone else could have done what Ruth did. Honestly, I will not go to any other Realtor other than Ruth on our way back to Central Texas.

Ruth Powers of Realty Austin is a top notch real-estate agent. I have used her services for my first house, back in 2003, based upon a review of her by a close friend, and she did not fail to disappoint. I was a bachelor at the time, and we bachelors are typically done in 5 or 6 showings. Not me - I made it to 15 houses before deciding. She was behind me all the way, and even took me to a few houses she did NOT recommend I purchase, just to show me the difference of what makes a good vs house. I have recommended her to my friends ever since, and she has delighted them as much as me. Fast forward to now and why I am writing this review no longer a bachelor, and we needed to move. Ruth engaged with my wife and I and helped us navigate the (for us) uncharted waters of selling and buying at the same time. She did so with grace no doubt based on her years of experience, and fought hard for us to be able to close on both deals. We nearly lost our purchase 3 times due to adverse actions on the part of the seller, but she kept up the pressure. She worked with us to make our target numbers in both directions, and was exemplary in all areas. I really can't recommend her any more highly.

We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Ruth over the past 10+ years. She truly cares for her clients, understands their needs and looks out for the best for them. She is very knowledgeable and can always provide great advice. In selling our home with Ruth this November, she took the extra effort to come to the house and walk us though room by room how to best prepare the house. She brought in and helped set up her own staging items to make the home even more appealing. Ruth arranged excellent professional photographs of the home and amenities, which looked great in the listing and in the beautiful brochure. In negotiations, she looks out for your best interests and pays attention to the finer details like warranties and HOA transfer fees, etc, and tries to negotiate the most reasonable deal for her client. She is always quick to respond to texts, e-mails and calls and has gone over and above working on evenings, weekends and even on her vacation time if there is an urgent issue to deal with. We always felt like we were in good hands with Ruth as our agent!
