What the Increase in the Average Price for Austin Homes Means For You
Hello and we hope you’re doing well! We have manually run market statistics for October in order to get a first look at the market’s performance. These numbers are a fantastic way to see how the real estate market in Austin is performing, but they aren’t as highly reviewed as the statistics that ABOR & Independence Title will send in 1-2 weeks. All data is pulled from ACTRIS MLS data.We’ve looked at numbers for the greater Austin metro area, along with numbers specifically for residential zip codes in Austin. Here is what we found for the month of October:
The great Austin real estate market continues to amaze. The most impressive number reported in October is the +27.45% increase in the average price for Austin homes. It’s worth noting that Median Sold Price was calmer with a +14.89% increase (which is still a historic gain). Total sales increase by +12.6% and days on the market drop to only 7 days to sell a home in Austin.
The greater Austin metro area saw huge gains in unit sales at +19.74% to 3773 total sales. Median Sold Price increased by +12.52% to $359,950. Homes are selling incredibly quickly and Median Days on the Market dropped from 28 days to 9.
